Born in 1962 Tarek Ek Komi graduated from the Fine Arts Faculty, Cairo University, in 1985.
Tarek held several solo exhibitions. He participated in the Youth Salon from 1989 to 1981 as well as in the National Exhibition since 1987, and the Starts of the Youth salon in 2004.
Tarek is the recipient of several awards, mainly the award of the First Arabian Forum of Plastic Arts - Oman, the award of the First International Musqat Biennale and the award of Mahmound Mokhtar.
Tarek took part in several symposiums such as Aswan, Oman, Dubai and most recently the second session of Alley symposium (Lebanon 2002) and the first Byblos symposium (Lebanon 2003).
His works are acquired by International organizations, private Collectors and the Modern Art Museum - Cairo.
